Teaching practice is generally defined into five main models. There are no definite boundaries between each model. No one model is regarded as superior to another. A thorough knowledge of all models leads to greater teacher flexibility and efficiency. Notice that these can be readily adapted to AIAL.
Some teaching-learner models are outlined below.
Approach is "teacher-centered"
based on "well-structured steps" of learning and the use of reinforcement
the teacher creates a "supportive atmosphere"
emphasizes learning based on the student's "interaction" with other people and with society, i.e. personal interaction.
"pupil-centered" model involving a range of teacher structuring with which the self-directed student interacts
Arab Institute conducted a two day course in-house training for the staff of RCEP Regional Center for Educational Planning at Sharjah. The course named “Innovative Decision Making in Crisis Management”. Course is certified by the Institute of Professional Managers USA attested by Knowledge of Human Development Authority KHDA UAE. It was conducted by AIAL instructor Mr. Mohamad Fathy. .
